Understanding this biblical truth, that to have food and clothing was enough for Paul and the early church, we have to stop and ask ourselves: will it be enough for me?
Jesus was saying, “Tell them I’m near. Tell them I’m here. Tell them I’m here to redeem them. Tell them the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Our job in ministry is not to serve as travel agents, but to make disciples—to make disciples obedient to Christ’s call to “go.” Our job is to help our students become missionaries.
God’s priorities require a bold church to stand up with raised voices and proclaim, as Peter did in verse 12, that “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
