It’s a pretty big deal to God, Sabbath is. But I’d say for most people who believe in God today and are at least somewhat serious about following Him, this is the one commandment we’re willing to break without even blinking.
We need a break from our busyness, from our hurry, from the speed we live life at. The book of Psalms gives us a word for that: selah. It means to pause, to listen, to consider the moment.
